Before you write
Preferences, Diagnostics, Save Bug Report writes a file with the logs, your device setup and the app version. No video and no audio. Attach it with what you were doing and what happened instead, and three emails usually become one.
Common questions
The desk is sending to a different address or port than ShowRevue is listening on. Check the console settings in ShowRevue and the desk's OSC output, and on grandMA3 make sure OSC output is enabled, not just configured. Preferences, Network lists every port ShowRevue is listening on.
For LTC, check the input device and channel in Settings, Timecode, and watch the meter: the level should land without clipping. If it freezes mid-take the source dropped. A second source, such as sACN or MTC, is worth setting up.
The phone has to be on the same network as the Mac, and guest Wi-Fi in many venues blocks device-to-device traffic. If you can't fix the house network, use a cloud show, which routes notes over the internet instead.
Any browser on the network can open it, and the screen needs no licence, so a failure here is nearly always the network. Try the same address on a laptop next to the Mac to narrow it down.
Something else on the Mac is holding a port ShowRevue listens on. The notice says which one, and you can change it in Preferences.
Sign in and check the licence is attached to the email you used. Licences are per Mac, so if you've moved to a new one, release the old Mac from your account first.
Allow 100 GB or more of free space for a full tech day. ProRes LT uses far more than H.264 or H.265.
Yes. Playing recordings is free with no time limit, and there's a 14-day Professional trial that records against your real console, clock and cue sources. No card and no account.
If you're in a venue right now, say so in the subject line.
