What changed,
release by release.

ShowRevue updates itself, and shows each release's notes when an update is ready. These are the highlights.

0.7.4

  • A quick encoder self-test on the way into Live, so a stuck media engine is caught before you press Record, not after.
  • A growth check while recording: if the file stops growing, an alert says the take is dead and to relaunch.
  • Picture no longer drifts against the sound over a long take with a USB camera whose own clock runs slow.
  • Timecode out (Art-Net, sACN, MTC) stops when the playhead leaves a recorded timecode block, and starts again on the next one.

0.7.3

  • Open a recording from another recorder and its timecode comes with it: every audio channel is scanned for LTC and the blocks land on the timeline.
  • Choose which channels of a file are programme, comms, aux and timecode, so LTC never leaks into the programme send.
  • Option to keep recordings, snapshots and reports in subfolders beside the show file.
  • Art-Net timecode now reaches a console running on the same Mac (grandMA3 onPC, Eos Nomad).
  • Fixed recorded audio running ahead of the picture on a busy Mac.

0.7.2

  • Cuepoint caller: a spoken "standby" and "go" for each cuepoint, sent to a comms or in-ear output.
  • Library rows show each recording's length.
  • Fixed audio landing minutes away from the picture with a USB camera and the Mac's microphone.
  • Fixed phantom point cues recorded from an Eos with nothing active.
  • A USB camera that drops out and comes back is picked up again.

0.7.1

  • Companion module 0.7.1: overlay widget actions and feedback for LTC lock, show phase, streaming and NDI output.
  • Stop is hold-to-stop during a Show session.
  • Session report and notes PDFs print each note's snapshot with its drawing.
  • Library: a notes pill on each take and a With notes filter.

0.7.0

  • Export Recording defaults to programme on the left and LTC on the right, for players and desks that chase timecode off the clip.
  • Export cuepoints for CuePoints, one file per timecode section, or as a console cue list.
  • Live Notes and Stage Display show when the Mac has gone, instead of carrying on as if it were still recording.
  • Playback and the idle app use far less CPU.

0.6.0

  • Stage Display content modes per screen: camera only, green room, cue only, countdown and more, each with its own look and logo.
  • Stage Display screens report how far behind the show their audio is, and a blocked screen recovers on its own once unblocked.
  • A softer alert chime, and show audio eases back after a spoken alert.
  • Fixed glitching when previewing an audio input.
